Pip is a scorekeeper for card games, published by Biter Enterprises. This page explains what the app collects and why. Questions go to pip@biter.com.
Scores and player names you type in. Player names are whatever you choose to enter, usually a first name or a nickname. We do not ask for real names and you do not have to use them.
Table codes, the short word you and your group use to join the same game.
An anonymous account ID. When you first open Pip we create a random ID for your device so your games sync. It is not tied to your name, email, or phone number, and we never ask you to sign up.
A push notification token, only if you turn notifications on. It tells Apple which device to deliver a notification to.
Subscription status. If you subscribe, our payments provider tells us whether your subscription is active. Apple handles the payment. We never see your card.
No email address. No phone number. No contacts. No location. No advertising identifiers. Pip has no ads and we do not sell or share anything with advertisers or data brokers.
Google Firebase stores the games and keeps every phone at the table in sync.
RevenueCat manages subscription status.
Apple processes payments and delivers push notifications.
Each of these companies handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not send them anything beyond what is described above.
Anyone who knows a table code can open that game and see its scores. Codes are short on purpose so they are easy to share at a table. Do not put anything private in a player name or a table code.
You delete your own games in the app. Open a game you started and tap "Delete this game for everyone," or find it under Past games and tap Delete. This erases the scores, the round history, and the notification tokens of everyone who joined that game. It cannot be undone, and you do not have to contact us to do it.
Only the person who started a game can delete it, so nobody can wipe your table out from under you. If you joined a game somebody else started and you want your player name off it, ask them to remove you or to delete the game.
Games you do not delete stay so you can look back at them.
Pip is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
